ok so yesterday I tried a couple of match moves, the first with the same footage i took as last time. This had very poor results. It turns out it is very easy to track a couple of points through 3d space via 2d video if there isnt going to be any complex geometry/animation in there. its a whole other ting to want to do it PROPERLY.
The second attepmt I tried yesterday was following a new set of tutorials from digital tutors. Unfortunatly I tried to jump the gun and get working right along with them, which meant I completely neglected a very important aspect of taking the footage which i then geme to regret heavily later. These are my results. Horrible images of chaos.
At this point I am completely happy with my complete and utter ignorance with this software and process. I still only have an outsiders view. However tomorrow my NEW BOOK arrives which is completely on matchmoving and from then on I shall be improving daily (a promise to myself)!!!
